Horizontal Control Tab

The Horizontal Control Tab is separated into four separate sections:  Latitude, Longitude, Grid System, and Additional Control Information.  In addition, there is a button to the lower left side of the tab that automatically calculates the decimal degrees for the Latitude and Longitude.

The Latitude Section   The Latitude Section contains fields for degrees, minutes, seconds, direction, and decimal degrees.  You can enter in the decimal degrees directly or have the system calculate them automatically.

The Longitude Section   The Longitude Section contains fields for degrees, minutes, seconds, direction, and decimal degrees.  You can enter in the decimal degrees directly or have the system calculate them automatically.

The Grid System Section   The Grid System Section contains the Northing, Easting, measurement types, Datum Adjustment Factor, and Adjusted Values used for each.  The adjusted values for the Northing and Easting are based on the Datum Adjustment Factor.  To calculate the Adjusted Values, simply enter in the Datum Adjustment Factor and select the Adjust Button.  The Adjusted Values will automatically be calculated and displayed.

Additional Control Information Section   The Additional Control Information Section contains fields to allow additional information regarding the Horizontal Control to be entered.  This includes Datum, Network Type, Method, Zone, Accuracy, Scale, Convergence Angle, and Combined Factor.
