Lookup Tables allow users to select standard options when creating records in the system. This makes the system easier to use and increases productivity. In addition, it tremendously increases data integrity. For example, if you are filling out a data field for "City" with the city "Tallahassee", it is possible that it may be misspelled in some of the records. This would cause the results of a search for the city of Tallahassee to be incorrect as the misspelled records would not display. If you select the city from a drop down list, it will be spelled the same each time, thus increasing your data integrity.
The Lookup Table Windows include Routes, Route Types, Cities and Towns, Counties, Regions, USGS Quads, and States.
